How to use Sermon Clips

Sermon Clips takes one sermon and shapes it into everything your congregation needs to carry the message through the week: short captioned video clips, a daily devotional, a small-group study, discussion questions, and a recap email. It also holds the invitation-video Studio and the Welcome QR.

The rhythm is always the same, and it is short:

• You upload Sunday’s sermon. That is the one step that needs you.
• Clips drafts the week from it, in your church’s voice.
• You review and approve what you love.
• Your church shares it by post, text, or email.

When you sign in as a staff member, you land on your Dashboard. This is home base: a quick view of recent activity, and the door to every part of the product.

Everything is reached from the left-hand menu. The three areas you’ll use most are Studio (make short invitation videos), Sermons (turn a full message into a week of content), and Video Library (where finished videos live for your congregation to share).

The Studio is where your staff make short, branded videos, a warm welcome, a member’s story, an invitation to Sunday. Open Creation Studio from the menu to begin.

   Trim the ends, choose a shape, add a title card, your church logo, and music — each with its own simple tool.

   Give it a title and a short description, and it joins your Video Library for members to share.

The Polish tools, one at a time

Once your video is in, you land in the Polish editor. A live preview sits on the left, and the tools are on the right. Nothing you do here changes the original; you’re shaping a finished copy.

Trim keeps just the part you want. Drag the two handles for a rough cut, then fine-tune with the nudge buttons or scrub the video to an exact spot and press Set to playhead for a precise start or end.

Formatchooses the shape for where you’ll share it, Original, Vertical (9:16), Square (1:1), or Landscape (16:9). If the video doesn’t fit the shape, the sides fill with a soft blur so it always looks finished.

Title card adds a short title over the opening seconds. Type it, and the preview shows exactly how it lands.

Church logo places your mark in the corner you choose, so every video reads clearly as yours. Music lays a soft bed under the voice.

Publishing

When it looks right, move to Publish. The “Your video” preview shows your edits, trim, title, logo, and shape, so what you see is what you’ll get. Give it a title and a short description your members will see, then publish it to the Library.

This is the flagship. Open Sermons, set a few options, and upload Sunday’s message. From that one file, Clips drafts a whole week.

• Choose your platforms. Pick where you’ll share (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X); each moment is rendered in the right shape for the ones you choose.
• Logo on clips. Your church logo is burned into every clip by default; you can move the corner or turn it off.
• Set the counts. Number of clips, devotional length, study parts, and discussion questions.

After you upload, the message is transcribed and the week is drafted in the background. You can close the tab and come back.

Setting the caption look

Before or after clips render, open Caption style to set how the captions look on every clip: font, size, colors, and position. You also choose the caption mode, Highlight each word, Steady (no moving color, best for a fast speaker), or No captions, and how many words show at a time.

This is where you stay in control. Your clips arrive sorted into two groups so you always know where each one is headed:

Each clip has an Approve button (approving is what renders it into a finished video), a Look and hook panel, and, once ready, sharing actions. The Phone text group gives you Email and Download instead of platform buttons, because those clips are for sending to a person directly.

Look and hook

Open Look and hook on any clip to set its layout and opening line. Classic keeps the whole video and fills the sides with a soft blur; Fill crops to fill the frame; Card sets the video on a clean, dark background. You can add a one-line hook, and turn on Follow the speaker to keep the frame on whoever is talking.

Alongside the clips, Clips drafts words for the week, all in your church’s voice and all yours to edit first.

A recap emailgathers the week’s message and clips into a note you can send from your own mail app, one tap copies it.

If you bundle TextConnect, the same week can go straight to your people: send the sermon as a devotional drip, or the study as sessions, delivered by text and email with consent.

Finished videos live in the Video Library, where your whole congregation, not just staff, can pick one to share.

A member opens a video, adds a personal note, and sends it to a friend by text, email, or social, in a few taps. The invitation arrives from a familiar face.

Print one code and set it where guests arrive. A first-time visitor scans it and sees a warm welcome right away.

• A warm hello and an info pack, right on their phone.
• Leave a name. Guests can share their contact whenever they feel ready.
• See who visited, and follow up with a gentle note.

The Invitationsview gathers the invitation videos your church is sending and how they’re landing, so you can see the whole-congregation reach in one place.

In Settings you upload your church logo (the one burned onto clips and videos) and add your team, giving each person the right level of access.

Bundle TextConnect, and the week you make here can reach your people the same day.

• Send a sermon as a devotional drip: each day pairs a reading with a clip, delivered by text and email, with consent.

This is the loop: a sermon becomes content, content becomes an invitation, and an invitation brings someone through the door.
